'Vocational Education Would Curb Unemployment'
Vocational education would curb the Nation's rising unemployment in the, Mr. Ben Akintelure, the principal, Phidel College, Idimu, Lagos, has said.
He made the assertion recently at the school’s inauguration, adding that the institution was poised to prepare self-reliant Nigerians.
Akintelure said that the college offers vocational subjects, noting that the skills the pupils were acquiring we make them self-employed in the future.
According to him, “It is good for the country to promote vocational skill acquisition, I believe this is the future of the nation.”
The principal further said the school was committed to nurturing future leaders that would affect the society positively.
“Pupils who study Home Economics, tie and dye, clothing and textile, and music among others, can always fall back on what they learn here,” he said.
He urged parents to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the college, stating that the institution was committed to producing disciplined pupils.
