Nina Davuluri, 24, has been crowned Miss America 2014! Nina has made history by being the first American of Indian descent to win the crown. The pageant took place in Atlantic City after nine years away.
The beauty queen performed a Bollywood fusion dance at the event and was asked a challenge question about plastic surgeries. She went on to win and secured $50,000 in scholarship money.
Nina plans to be a doctor and has spoken about how she faced an eating disorder challenge. So it came as a shock when an article was released about her making rude remarks regarding former Miss America's weight. Nina as well as Miss America pageant representatives denied the claims.
