IKA CARNIVAL 2016 AND MALEKE'S COMEDY OF ERROR

By Vincent Jude Oshiagwu.

Just last night, Maleke the comedian lost his name, reputation, popularity and fans in Ika land. You asked why? He slapped the Ika people on the face and the Ikas withdrew their patronage and partnership even though he's an Ika son.

Looking at him on stage on 20th Dec. 2016, one could see a man gone out of his senses as he struggled uncontrollably to regain postures at intervals obviously due to high alcohol or hemp intake. Instead of entertaining the crowd, he rained insults on the people and Gov. Okowa. Instead of his comedy, it was a theartre of destructive criticisms of the governor. Instead of being professional and modest, he was rude and arrogant. He was talking nonesense.

At the end, he goofed. Maleke should learn to be professional and constructive in criticising others. He should also know how to respect constituted authority while driving home his point . As far as am concerned, Maleke as an Ika son, insulting the governor of Delta state instead of entertaining the audience took insanity and insensitivity to the edge.

To be exact and frank, he was wrong, or maybe he was not properly informed. We, the IKAS dont joke with Gov. Okowa. An insult on him is an insult to the entire Ika people and I must say Maleke got what he bargained for when he was humiliated.
